COVID-19 UPDATE 23/06/20

We’re planning for a brighter future…

We are temporarily closed to the general public following the directive from the government on 21st March 2020.

We have made plans in a calm, considered and calculated way to ensure we can continue to serve our community and retain our fantastic team of staff for the long term.

Of course, at the forefront of our minds is the health and well-being of our customers, community, staff team and their families.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers and the whole local community for your support for the years we’ve lived and worked here.

We’re so very grateful for your love and at this difficult time we’d like to extend our love and best wishes to you all.

We look forward to opening our doors to you all again soon on 1st August 2020

Our online booking page will be open from Wednesday 8th July and our reservation team will continue to work remotely from 8th July and will be happy to take reservations for stays from Monday 1st August 2020 onwards.

UPDATE 23/06/20

We have made plans to re-open for business on 1st August to serve our community and retain our fantastic core team of staff in the long term.

Of course, at the forefront of our minds is the health and well-being of our customers, community, staff team and their families.

This plan presents what we will do to keep our guests, employees, and our community safe whilst continuing to operate a place to stay safely and happily in comfort.

While the service offered will, of course, be limited initially it is hoped that in time necessary restrictions will be lifted and we will be able to offer an enhanced level of service.

We will continue to refine and update the plan as experts provide us more
 advice…

FOOD – DRINK

End your day at The White Cliffs enjoying the local folk music scene with a pint of local beer eating freshly landed lobster or fish baked in a wood-fired oven, a flame-grilled Kentish beef steak or home-grown vegetables from our kitchen garden.

Our fish and shellfish comes from local day boats and our meat and vegetables are farmed locally.

We are on first name terms with our suppliers and we share their concerns about responsible and sustainable fishing and farming.

The welcome is warm and the crew are locals with a passion for all that is native to Kent and that includes a raft of beers, ciders and wine from around the county.
