The White Cliffs Art Project 2013

Celebrating The White Cliffs, St. Margaret's-at-Cliffe and St. Margaret's Bay.

Exhibitions of the work of the professional artists, photographers, textile artists, printers and potters
in exhibition spaces, local restaurants, hotels and The National Trust's South Foreland Lighthouse.

There will be showcases of the work done by adults, students and children working with the artists in a series of workshops and activities.

Art groups and societies from Dover, St. Margaret's, Walmer, Deal and Sandwich as well as visitors to the area will be invited to take part.

The first event is already planned for half term week in May at the Lighthouse, when the Adhoc Artists from St. Margaret's will be running a children's and adult's painting day.

The Project intends to unite the many art, photography and textile/quilting groups already existing and to give opportunities for children and people of all ages to get involved in an artistic activity.
This is the chance for anyone, whether a professional artist or teacher, class member or new artist to celebrate the landscape, seascape, the history, the flora and fauna, and the people associated with the White Cliffs in the medium of their choice during the summer of 2013, and have their work exhibited.
These venues have already offered exhibition space for the following dates:
